Time Flies

I can hardly believe that we are already into the second quarter of 2011.  There has been so much going on in the world over the last few months it makes everyday life look pretty simply

So how have you been doing on your New Year’s resolutions?  MY GOAL FOR THE NEXT YEAR IS TO TRY AND BRIGHTEN UP THE DAY FOR EVEYONE THAT I DEAL WITH.  This is exactly what I wrote in my first blog of 2011.  This is a tough one for me since I am a dentist, and there are some of you out there, that no matter how hard our profession tries, we just can’t make you relax at all in our office.  But that doesn’t stop me from trying.  I had a patient this week tell me that she was so grateful to be in our office because of the compassion that not only I show her, but that everyone shows her.  How about that for working at our goals.  But this resolution is going to have legs to keep going on and I don’t know if I will ever get it right..but I am working on it.

So let’s see how I score for the first 3 months on my fitness and diet routine.  I am definitely eating more fruit and vegetables and I have worked out a total of 74 out of the first 90 days of the year.  On the negative side my weight has gone up a few pounds, but not my waist at all.  I am going to look at the positive side and say that muscle is much denser than fat and I have been slowly turning fat into muscle.  Clothes as loose as ever…so for now..I go on the positive side of the equation.

On a quick personal note I need to say something about one Janis Krauthamer who 22 years ago on April 9th said  “I do” to me.  22 years she has put up with me, she has given birth to two of the greatest boys anyone could have asked for, and has really been the calming factor in my life. We had a really nice dinner last night and stayed in a beautiful suite at the London Hotel in West Hollywood to celebrate the day.  I love you Janis, more than words can say.
