Just Do It

Nike has a really good tag line don’t they…”Just Do It”  It can apply to so many places in our lives.  For those of you who have followed my blog I have been advocating for everyone that when it comes to their individual health.

 

On a personal level I have realized how over the past year and a half I have not been doing a good job myself.  Ever since my appendectomy I have had a hard time getting it together, loosing my desire to work out at night.  And since I wasn’t working out I was not eating well either.

 

Around December 1st of last year I changed things around and I started working out in the morning and it only took a few days for me to notice a difference.  I had been so consistent for all the years before that I had no way of knowing how not working out affected my body.

 

Now I have been really consistent with working out for about 5 plus weeks and I can’t believe the mental focus that I have.  I am getting so much more done and I have even been reading more.  And to top it off I have started to eat a whole lot better.  A lot of fruit and veggies and cutting out on the garbage food I had been eating.

 

I know that we live in some very difficult times right now, but exercise helps us deal with stress better.  And when you feel better, maybe you do more things for your health.  This country can’t continue to go on with the excessive costs of health care…even with every type of reform that can be presented.  As Dr. OZ once said health care reform starts with you.
